I recently had this delicious pastrami sandwich at Charbro, one of my favorite restaurants. Pastrami sandwiches aren’t often found on menus around here, so it’s great to have one nearby.
Charbro is located in Musashi Kosugi, a 5-minute walk from the station, and their menu features a variety of great food, all of which are solid American diner/bar food classics. The pastrami sandwich, burgers, Buffalo wings, chicken sandwiches and jalapeno poppers are among my usual favorites.
They also serve steak, ribs, spaghetti with meatballs, fried pickles, and chili cheese fries, among other delectable items, and they frequently feature interesting limited-time specials on their menu, such as an Elvis sandwich with bacon, peanut butter, and bananas. (That’s exactly what Elvis liked.) Anyway, I’ve never had that but would consider it if it was on the menu next time, as everything I’ve had here has been delicious.
The restaurant has an upstairs area with about four tables and a bar counter with five to six seats.
They have some craft beer, so it makes for a nice little meal that will keep you seated for a while.
If you’re craving some great American classic dishes, give them a shot, especially if you’re in Tokyo or Yokohama, as it’s conveniently located between the two areas.
